In the 1950’s concerned Bostonians were determined to preserve the story of the American Revolution as it began in Boston through preservation of 16 historically significant sites. These 16 sites are located along a unique 2.5 mile urban walking trail, marked with a bricked or painted red line.
Join John on a exciting walking tour of The Boston Freedom Trail. These sites hold some of the richest and important history in our nation. Our Christian heritage can be clearly seen by walking through the churches and meeting houses, which hosted some of the most important events leading to the American Revolution. Some sites we explore on The Freedom Trail Documentary include: Boston Common, Massachusetts State House, Park Street Church, Granary Burying Ground, King’s Chapel, King’s Chapel Burying Ground, Benjamin Franklin Statue & Boston Latin School, Old Corner Book Store, Old South Meeting House, Old State House, Site of Boston Massacre, Faneuil Hall, Old North Church, Paul Revere House, Copp’s Hill Burying Ground, Bunker Hill Monument and the USS Constitution.
